Marlie's Wish

"Marlie enjoyed every moment of it and me and his dad feel so grateful to have had this opportunity to take him and spend some time together as a family being out of hospital"

Marlie, aged 5 lives with Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus (often called water on the brain). The extra fluid can cause the spaces in the brain, called ventricles, to become too large and the head can swell.

Marlie is a huge fan of childrens cartoons, including Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol, Number Blocks and anything Disney. He also loves Dinosaurs! 

We recently granted his wish to visit the most magical place on Earth, Disneyland Paris. Marlie had only been out of hospital for a few weeks when his wish was granted.

During the holiday, Marlie, with his parents, got to meet his favorite Disney and MARVEL characters, including Mickey Mouse. They visited Fantasyland, going on the huge range of rides, with everything from high-octane roller coasters, soaring through the skies on a flying carpet, riding a vintage carousel, to Peter Pans Flight and The Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast. Marlie was truly captivated by the Disney experience.

"What an amazing time we had, we will be forever grateful for you all and it all work out amazingly as he had only been home for a few weeks before his last surgery so we were really hoping we would make it, and we did!"
