Rio's Wish

Eight-year-old Rio, who has Down’s Syndrome and Tracheobronchomalacia, is a devoted football fan with a big passion for the game.

When Rio’s mum reached out, hoping we could arrange for him to be a mascot for his local football team, we decided to go one step further. We contacted Wembley Stadium, the home of England Football, and they made Rio’s dream come true by inviting him to be an official mascot for the England vs. Northern Ireland match!

Rio and his family were chauffeured from their home in Grimsby to a hotel in London, where they enjoyed a meal at the iconic Hard Rock Café. The following day, they were driven to Wembley Stadium, where Rio proudly joined the England team on the pitch as their official mascot. After watching the game and celebrating England's success, the family returned home with unforgettable memories of this incredible experience.
